Reporting waste is half the story. BinMap shows every public rubbish bin in Timor-Leste on one map, so people know where to throw their rubbish. Anyone can add a missing bin with a photo, and every new bin is checked by the EcoLafaek team.
Díli produces more than 300 tons of waste every day, and over 100 tons of it are never collected. It blocks drains, floods streets and ends up in our rivers and sea. Cities had no map of where waste builds up. Now every citizen can put it on the map.
